In light of our IT Box "Make a Splash" launch, we are introducing you to the IT Women of 2022 who are "Making a Splash" in their communities. Meet Andrea Ng, founder of Glo Media. We interviewed Andrea to learn all about who she is, what inspires her, and how she has accomplished running her own business.

Can you share with us a little bit about who you are (what you’re passionate about, what you like to do) and what you are doing right now in your career?

I'm the Founder of a boutique digital marketing agency, Glo Media, and have a passion for everything marketing and social media. I'm mainly in the role of project manager and client relations when it comes to my agency while overseeing our team of seven. I'm a huge foodie and absolutely love traveling - the combination to my heart.

As a founder of Glo Media Co, what is some advice you would give to women who are wanting to start their own business, but may have some hesitation or may not know where to start?

I'd say do it! It's never too late and it's never going to be the perfect time. You just gotta take the plunge. You have to be ready to hit rock bottom and have the grit to get back up. Be open to criticism. Learn a lot along the way. And lastly, have an open heart and mindset.

What inspires you and how do you aim to inspire other women?

Inspiration to me is seeing how far I've come along the way and surrounding myself with like minded individuals that push me. How I aim to inspire others is to simply lead by example and be open to other women who reach out to me. I'm an open book and I don't gate keep!

What are your future goals for your career and personal life? Do you have any plans for the rest of 2022?

Future goals would be to expand my team at Glo Media, and personally I'd love to travel a lot more and potentially spend more time working remotely.

What is the message that you want to leave with other women?

Do what you do best and outsource the rest. Focusing on yourself is key, there are more than enough clients to go around, so don't compare yourself with others.
