Your home should be your favorite space to be. It should be crafted and decorated exactly to your liking. I mean, it’s where you probably spend most of your time (especially since COVID-19) so it’s important to want to be there as well as enjoy being there. While we all have a dream home that may not be realistic right now, we can still achieve something close to that until we do get that home we’ve always dreamed of. Despite what some may think, decorating your home does not need to be expensive, in fact there are many ways to spruce up your space on a budget. Keep reading for some tips on decorating your home on a budget!

Paint an Accent Wall

Painting is the cheapest way to make a big difference when redecorating. Painting an accent wall breaks up a room and gives the room a bit more flair.

Paint Kitchen Cabinets

Painting kitchen cabinets is a big game changer. Again, painting is a super low budget way to make a big difference. You will be surprised how just simply painting your kitchen cabinets will upgrade your entire kitchen.

Add Wall Art

Adding art to any room brings that room from a five to a ten. Art warms up a room and gives it life. Such an easy upgrade to any room!

Go Thrifting and Re-do Antique Pieces

Spend a day and go thrifting for antique pieces such as lamps, dressers, shelves, or literally anything. You may get lucky and find beautiful pieces that need little to no cleaning up, but don’t be afraid to take home a piece that needs a little extra love. Redoing antique pieces is a fun project and gives you gorgeous quality pieces for a low price.

Add Plants

Plants bring life to any room. Plants make a home feel lived in and are a simple yet effective addition to any room.

Upgrade your Couch

If you’re tired of the couch you’ve had for years spruce it up with a couch cover or accent pillows. This will give you the feel of a new couch at a price you can afford.

Shop Smart

There’s a lot of home good stores out there that have great decor pieces for even better prices! Some of my favorites are:

H&M Home

Target Home

Simons Home

Bouclair

Here are some budget friendly home decor pieces that will give your space the upgrade it deserves:
