So you finally got hitched --- well, not so fast! But you are engaged and are jumping to start wedding planning. We get it! We get it! Okay, here are some venues that you may not have in your arsenal to review. Picking your event site is not so easy. The big question is: “Where?” Destination? Local? Church? Catering Hall? Where should you have the wedding? Should it be inside or outside reception? So many questions and no real clear answer. We took a look at some wedding venues in California and wanted to share some of our favorites with you! Happy searching! 

  1. Fallbrook Estate

Fallbrook, CA
This Spanish style estate that is located near San Diego county that has access to an ocean view, the city lights, and wine country. The grand ballroom is decorated in neutral colors with tall ceilings and rural details that could fit up to 235 people. Some features that are included in this location are a fountain courtyard, an outdoor and indoor fireplace, and amber style. With an indoor fireplace, you can definitely snatch those elegant photos while your guests make conversation and stay warm. The Fallbrook Estate is coordinated by Wedgewood Weddings. Their in-house team assists in choosing centerpieces, catering, top shelf beverages, and other event needs. If you are thinking of having a fall themed wedding, you may consider having it at the Fallbrook Estate.

Moreno Valley, California
 
Next up: The Royal Ballroom located in Moreno Valley, California. Upon entering the venue, you first start in the lobby which has a built in cocktail bar. Great first spot for your guests – who may be anticipating their drink of choice upon arrival. The bar space is actually quite elegant and features a variant of colors so that you can color coordinate your wedding, cocktail hour, you name it. The ballroom boasts three Austrian Crystal Chandeliers that create an ambiance of sophistication. The venue holds up to 500 people – definitely large enough for weddings that require room for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th cousins! The space has a built-in dance floor and plenty of room for round tables, cocktail tables and dancing. The Royal Ballroom’s catering group is Marinaj, your contact for all things wedding planning at this site.

Santa Monica, California
The Hotel Casa del Mar is located in Santa Monica and our favorite space is their Colonnade Ballroom. If you dream location is Santa Monica – definitely visit this site. With gorgeous, high ceilings, a staircase to make that dramatic entrance and a view of the Pacific Ocean, honestly, you can’t go wrong. The venue can hold up to 450 guests (which means that you can invite all your friends plus those distant relatives on your parent’s list). One feature that we absolutely love about this ballroom is that it has a beachfront terrace. If you would love to have a destination wedding or a beach-side wedding, well this is a fantastic compromise. No worries about getting sand in your shoes. 
Price: The price starts at $3,000 and goes up depending on how many guests and your specific package

 

  1. Fairmont San Francisco 

San Francisco, California
The Fairmont San Francisco is located in the city and has four beautiful spaces. The one that gets the most buzz is the Gold Room. With crystal chandeliers, ornate gold leaf decorations and French like décor, it is a must for the bride that wants a high-end wedding and feel. You truly feel like royalty in this room. Maximum capacity for this space is 470 people. And, there is a way to save! You can go with a cocktail reception and lunch / dinner service style wedding, or with a pre-selected entree. If you always dreamt of having a wedding that was near the Bay Area, then this is a perfect fit. Added bonus: The Fairmont offers a complimentary suite for the bride and groom.

  1. The Majestic Downtown

Los Angeles, California
The Majestic Downtown is located in Los Angeles and used for many occasions – social events, weddings, premiere after-parties. It has three different halls: the North Hall, Grand Hall and the South Hall. The Grand Hall opens up to include both the North and South hall and accommodates up to 600 guests for a sit-down dinner. This historical masterpiece has high Italian ceilings that are truly exquisite. What we love the most is the dramatic marble staircase that connects the North and South Hall. There is another fun space inside called “The Reserve.” For your wedding after-party, you can book this space which includes three full bars, dance floor lighting and two DJ booths. Fun, right?
