Emptied Products Part 2

Growing up in Southern California, sun was plentiful, and it sometimes is apparent in my skin. The whole 'Calm' line by Paula's Choice is remarkable for healing and soothing a ruddy complexion, but this serum is a holy grail for days. I've so far purchased this twice since discovering it, and use it every morning underneath my sunscreen. The peptides repair the skin on multiple levels, and fine lines and redness disappear within a few days of using this serum.

Filled with sunflower oil, shea butter, and oat flour, Burt's Bees has concocted a body lotion that is favorite for ourselves and our little ones. The bucolic packaging adds a sweet touch to our skincare arsenal, and the hydrating properties, thanks to jojoba and glycerin, have cemented this product as a mainstay for many more years to come.

Finding a favorite sunscreen is difficult for many. Physical blockers, like zinc oxide, should be chosen over chemical blockers, such as avobenzone, due to the latter being a hormone mimicker. Biossance's sunscreen saves the world as being skin (and environmentally) safe, thanks to its lack of chemical blockers. We love the fact that it lacks dimethicone (a relatively comedogenic ingredient) and has ultra-hydrating squalane.

A bit of a cult favorite, Trader Joe's Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum contains just 5 ingredients, all of which help absorb moisture, making your skin dewy and hydrated. I cannot count how many times this has been repurchased; thankfully, it's only about $8 at my local Trader Joe's, so it's repurchased plenty.
