Modern Day Wife x Luxe Hotel's "Party By The Pool" Event Recap
August 5th was our “Party by The Pool” event at the Luxe Hotel in beautiful Brentwood, California, produced by Modern Day Wife, the Luxe Hotel, Natural Pilates, and in partnership with Fit Girl Club, The Mommy Blogger Tribe and Momie Go App.
We had so many amazing vendors, inspiring panels, and lounges to snap those Instagram-worthy photos. We heard from social media influencers and how they decided to get into the industry. We got down to business with various speakers from different companies, and of course we had to have a little fun with a fashion show, poolside.
We are determined to provide the best resources to assist in "having it all." If you were not able to join us in Los Angeles for a beautiful night of networking and fun, read on to feel all the exciting, summery vibes.
Social Media 101- Influencer Panel
In this segment, we got to sit down with some of the influencers at our main stage, and discuss the pros and cons of what it is like to be a public figure on social media, vulnerable for people to see and critique. It can be a very rewarding industry, but you also have to be prepared to have a thick skin. The lovely ladies we got to speak with included Mara Edwards, Julana Dizon, Kristina Mcinnis and Taylor Rae.
Let’s Get Down To Business- Business Panel
Next up, we got to sit down with founders, business owners and professionals who talked about their experiences working in their industries. They discussed how developing, growing and running your business can be very rewarding, but it does require patience and understanding of what you really want out of your career. Some of the inspiring individuals we got to hear from included Jacob Halem, Denice Duff, Laura Wilson, Dr. Ava Shambam, Lisi Lerch, Genoveva Christoff, Elle Watson and Duane Anderson.
It’s A Party In The USA- Celebrity Panel
Then we had the privilege of sitting down with Clio De La Llave, Ana Quincoces, and Dr. Nigma Talib who talked about their unique experiences of working in the entertainment industry and the ups and downs of being a personality in the spotlight. The Celebrity Panel was moderated by Former Real Housewife of Dallas, LeeAnne Locken.

We then headed poolside to see influencers and other ladies model various festival, swimwear and dress pieces by The Naughty Girl Shop.
Get The Glow
Our VIP guests then had the opportunity to head over to the VIP lounge which included an adorable candy cart by The Candy Coach, complimentary hard seltzers and tea along with an exclusive book signing with Dr. Nigma Talib. Her book talks about maintaining that younger skin glow and how it all starts with gut health.
In the social media lounge, our lovely influencers were able to get a skincare tutorial by In Your Face Skincare. This lounge area was the stuff of dreams, decked out in a beautiful picnic setting with flowers and pampas grass to suit any Instagram picture.
We want to offer our deepest gratitude to all of those who could make it to the event and make it such a beautiful night. We felt refreshed and inspired to take on the rest of summer after listening to such amazing speakers and interacting with our amazing guests. We look forward to many more memorable nights to come.
