Planning a Friendsgiving?

The joys of bringing friends together and enjoying a nice warm dinner, seated at a gorgeously decorated dining room table with glasses of wine (or beer) in our hands, sounds lovely. It is finally that time. Could I also say that this year flew by! It’s almost the end of the year.

Planning a Friendsgiving can be very fun. We enjoy the little things about getting the place ready, deciding what dish to serve and overall being intentional with friends that you haven’t seen in a while.

Whether you are bringing the main dish or the delicious drinks, we have a curated list of ideas to bring to a Friendsgiving!

  1. Appetizers are a must. Just something to snack on while the main course is being prepped. Trader Joe has a plethora of hummus dips, it’s so hard to decide!
  2. Wine/Beer. Red wine is paired almost always with any dish. Or we love a nice bottle of Prosecco for a little bubbly.
  3. Charcuterie Board. If appetizers are a lot of work, try a meat and cheese board. Either way, these are pretty easy and very enjoyable.
  4. Main course, this can be whatever you’d like whether that is a lemon roasted chicken or very creamy delicious pasta. Depending on how big your Friendsgiving is, this part is totally up to you.
  5. Dessert. One of our favorite parts of Friendsgiving are the desserts, let’s just indulge in a little bit of chocolate or a slice of pie!

Alright ladies, here you have it. Tag us @themoderndaywife on your choices. We want to see them!
